Blountville Presbyterian Church

Our Mission,Vision, & Philosophy

The Mission of the Blountville Presbyterian Church is to joyfully proclaim the good news of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit with a vision to achieve salvation for everyone.

To accomplish the Mission it includes: all people, which include; Members, Staff,
Attendees, Community, and the World. They are supported by: Spiritual Mentoring, Worship, Fellowship, and Education in a Reverent Environment and an
Inviting Atmosphere. This is through managing our resources of:

- People: Paid Staff, Members, Congregation & Volunteers
- Property: Church, Manse, and other structures; and their Grounds,
Equipment and Furnishings
- Finances: which are controlled by maintaining a balanced budget of income and expense.
Income includes: Tithes, Offerings and contributions.
Expense includes: Operating, Improvement, Payroll and Benevolence Contributions.

Our vision is to effectively extend the love of Jesus Christ to our neighbors through: worship, education, fellowship, and support that invites, gathers, and instills a growing congregation that will preserve our legacy since its beginning in 1820, of celebrating God's glory and welcoming God's grace.

Blountville Presbyterian Church's members are supported through regular worship services, numerous activities, recognitions, memorial contributions, and gifts. The church interacts with the local Blountville community through religious holiday services, local parades, and celebrations. Our church supports its youth through recognition celebrations, and annual activities. Our church also is heavily involved in missions through Presbytery Missions, The Holston Presbytery, local community and civic organizations, special offerings and gifts.

As believers under Christ's authority, we worship and glorify the Holy, Almighty God. We desire to bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and enable them to grow in spiritual faith. In the power of the Holy Spirit, we will serve the family, the church, and the community for the of God's Kingdom.

Our chief and highest end is to glorify God, and fully to enjoy him forever.
